Japanese Pop Culture Starts From Akiba

I'd like to introduce you to Akihabara city. Akihabara is also called Akiba.

Akihabara is a distict of central Tokyo.

You can visit Akihabara by train. It takes only 5 minutes from Tokyo station. (JR line, only 2 stops from Tokyo station)

Akihabara has many electric and computer store. Akihabara is not only computer city.
Lots of Japanese pop culture starts from Akihabara.

Akihabara has first known as electric city. Then some store started to sell anime, comic books(manga), and computer games. People who like those thing gathered Akihabara.

Akihabara is changing now too. Recently there are some special idles. You can meet them at akihabara. They play music and dance at streets and theaters.

Wearing costume, Cosplay is popular at Akihabara. Especialy on weekend, lots of people come to akihabara wearing special costume.

There are special entertaining cafe at Akiba, such as Gundam Cafe, idle cafe, manga cafe, and maid cafe.
Gundam cafe offers souvenirs you can't buy anywhere.
Maid cafe are popular with both men and women, where guests are treated with the master of house.

You can enjoy duty free shopping of home electronics and special experience at cafe.
